St. Louis, Missouri

Why Should You Think About Participating in a Study?

You’ll be actively contributing to the development of important new generic medicines that could help lower costs and improve the quality of life for people around the world. You’ll get a welcome break from your everyday routine, and we’ll take extremely good care of you while you’re our guest. And of course we’ll compensate you for your time.
People eligible to participate in our clinical trials are generally healthy adults, age 18 and older, smokers and non-smokers, who don’t regularly take prescription medications or over the counter drugs. For your convenience, we conduct studies both during the week and on weekends. Most studies require overnight stays; others require daily visits for short periods of time. We also welcome volunteers with a wide variety of medical conditions for specific studies.

What to Expect

World Class Science
The Cetero Research facility in metropolitan St. Louis, Missouri specializes in research designed to obtain FDA approval of generic drugs by comparing them to name brand drugs that have already been on the market for years. We perform metabolism studies to ensure that the generic drug and the marketed drug are similarly absorbed into the blood stream. We have been dedicated to this “bioequivalence” testing for 25 years.

You’ll see experienced doctors, nurses and other medical professionals efficiently carrying out research projects while ensuring the comfort and safety of participants, and fully answering any questions participants may have. We’ll carefully monitor your care round the clock.
When you visit the clinic you’ll catch a glimpse of cutting-edge technology. You’ll notice how clean everything is, while still making you feel welcome. The better you know us, the better you’ll feel about becoming a study participant.
The Comforts of Home … and Then Some
If you have to stay overnight, we have modern, residential-dorm style accommodations for 520 participants, with fresh linen and clean towels provided. You’ll enjoy three healthy meals a day, carefully prepared to conform to the study’s dietary requirements.
You’ll have wireless internet access and quiet study areas to work in. Or, if you prefer, large-screen television sets and an extensive collection of movies. You’re also welcome to play cards, board games and pool with other participants.
For studies permitting smokers, we have a self-contained, well-ventilated smoking lounge.
Qualifying for a Study
Eligibility for every study varies. To determine if you qualify for a particular study, a recruitment specialist will conduct a telephone pre-screening with general questions regarding your current health. Once we know more about you, we’ll be able to suggest the best match between you and one of our open studies.

A Participant’s Perspective

quoteFirst times at anything can be scary. Cetero staff is awesome. The facility? Well lit, clean and safe. The money? Always on time. I would recommend to my friends but I don’t like competition.quote
